Terms of Service

Welcome to the Learning Portal of the Global Student Forum (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “GSF”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website located at learn.globalstudentforum.org (the “Site”) and any related services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

 

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

  • If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

 

2. Account Registration

  • To access certain parts of the Service, you may need to register an account (“Account”) and provide certain information (e.g., name, email address).

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your Account.

  • If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your Account or breach of security, notify us immediately.

 

3. Use of the Service & Acceptable Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any law or regulation.

  • Post or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, threatening, or otherwise objectionable.

  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.

  • Upload viruses or malicious code or attempt to disrupt or interfere with the Service or servers.

  • Access or attempt to access parts of the Service you are not authorized to use.

  • Use the Service for commercial purposes not approved by us.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access, with or without notice, for any conduct that we in good faith believe violates these Terms or is harmful to others.

 

4. Content, Licenses & Intellectual Property

  • All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, video, software, and course materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • By submitting or posting content (e.g. discussion posts, assignments, comments), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, and otherwise exploit that content in connection with the Service.

  • You may view, download, and print content solely for your personal, noncommercial, educational use, as permitted by the Service features. Any other use requires our express written permission.

 

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.

 

6. Disclaimers & Warranties

  • The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  • We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

  • We are not responsible for any third-party content or links you access through the Service.

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, neither we nor our officers, employees, agents, or licensors will be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages;

  • Loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, data, or goodwill;

  • Claims arising from your use or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to these Terms, your use of the Service, or content on the Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the amount you have paid (if any) to us in the past twelve (12) months.

 

8. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us.

  • We may suspend or terminate your access, or delete your content, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice.

  • Sections that, by their nature, survive termination (e.g. Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability) will survive.

 

9. Modifications to Terms or Service

  • We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time.

  • When we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g. via email or posting on the Site) before they take effect.

  • Your continued use after changes signifies your acceptance of the new Terms.

 

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles.

  • Any disputes arising under or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark.

 

11. Severability & Waiver

  • If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be struck and the remaining provisions will be enforced.

  • Our failure to enforce any right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

 

12. Entire Agreement

These Terms (along with the Privacy Policy and any other policies we publish) constitute the complete agreement between you and GSF governing your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
